Who we are

DuoSwipe is run by Tom. For anything about your data or these pages, email [email protected].

What we store

• From Discord: your user id, username, display name and avatar (the “identify” scope only — never email, servers or messages).
• From Riot: the Riot IDs you link, their rank, level, champion mastery and a summary of recent ranked games. If you link with Riot Sign On, we receive only your Riot ID and server — never your password.
• What you enter: duo preferences and bio.
• Activity: your swipes, matches and chat messages with your matches.
• If you turn on notifications: your browser's push address, used only to tell you about matches, messages and, if you ask, new players on your server. Turning them off deletes it.
• Anonymous daily totals, such as how many people signed up or matched each day. They aren't linked to you or anyone else.
• Reports you make or receive, kept for moderators to review. A report made from a chat includes that whole conversation (up to its last 1,000 messages, noting any that were unsent), which otherwise ends with the block. Reports are deleted 24 months after a moderator deals with them.
• Moderator decisions about your account (reports dismissed, a suspension and when it was lifted) with any note the moderator wrote, and any appeal you send, so there's a record of both sides. They're deleted after 24 months (an appeal still waiting for a moderator is kept until it's decided).
• If you answer “Did you play together?” in a chat, your answer. Your duo never sees it; we only count the yeses, anonymously. Answers are deleted after 12 months.
• If something breaks: an error report (what failed and where) goes to our error tracker. It doesn't include your messages.

Who sees what

Other players see your League account stats and duo preferences. Your Discord identity and chat are only visible to players you have matched with. We don't sell data or show ads.

When a message links to a GIF on Tenor, GIPHY, KLIPY or Imgur, the chat shows the GIF, loaded from that service, which sees your IP address as any website does. To find the GIF behind a Tenor or KLIPY link, our server fetches that page (not you).

Getting a copy

Profile → Download my data gives you everything we hold about you as a JSON file: your account, profile, linked League accounts, swipes, matches, the messages you sent, reports you made and any moderator decisions about your account.

Deleting your data

Unmatching deletes that conversation. Deleting your account (Profile → Delete account) permanently removes your profile, linked accounts, swipes, matches and messages immediately. You can do this while suspended, from the appeal page. Moderators keep a record that a decision was made about a deleted account, without your name or any note, until it ages out after 24 months. If you ask Riot to erase your data, or your Riot account is deleted, we remove that League account and its stats from DuoSwipe too.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, plus a short-lived one during Discord sign-in. No tracking cookies.
